Inclusion & environment
Leaders have assessments in place for early identification of SEND, with individual plans and smaller group activities to support developmental needs. SEND coordinators are experienced in making referrals for additional support and ensure plans are in place to reduce learning gaps.
Children enjoy daily outdoor play, including a large road layout with ride-on cars and bicycles. They learn about traffic signs, taking turns, and negotiating space. Activities like climbing, sliding, and balancing support physical development, and children also plant strawberries, herbs, and observe the life cycle of butterflies outdoors.
Staff support children who speak English as an additional language by listening to stories and looking at books, with responsive staff supporting their language needs.
