About this day nursery

South Hills Nurseries, established in 1993, began its journey in converted farm buildings within the secluded Wilton estate, embracing a holistic approach that blended Montessori methodology with nurturing care and a passion for outdoor learning. Over time, the nursery expanded significantly, opening nine additional locations across Wiltshire between 2009 and 2018.

Some of these newer nurseries are strategically linked with primary schools, academies, and children's centres, allowing them to provide outstanding care to various local communities. This commitment to excellence was recognised in 2018 when South Hills Nurseries received the Nursery Group of the Year prize at the NMT Awards, an accolade that celebrates the dedicated efforts of its teams.

The nursery focuses on developing curious minds, aiming to nourish each child’s sense of wonder by experiencing and exploring the world alongside them. They believe in fostering a supportive environment not only for the children but also for their staff, promoting a culture of trust, respect, and mutual admiration.

The nurseries strive to support each individual in their community, valuing uniqueness and empowering greatness through fun, play, and excitement. Happiness is considered fundamental, underpinning the motivation for lifelong learning, while holistic care ensures every child thrives.

Inspirational teaching drives every experience, and loving relationships enable all to flourish, with learning celebrating each child's unique journey within a safe and secure ethos that promotes independence, resilience, and well-being.
