This setting has been working to improve the quality of provision since its previous inspection, where overall effectiveness was rated as "Inadequate". Staff support children's communication, language and literacy development by engaging them in back-and-forth conversations and introducing new vocabulary.

Our youngest attends South Wonston nursery for a few months now. She’s very happy there and loves her nursery days. The staff is so caring and warm towards the kids. Children are happy and spent their days in a very relaxed atmosphere. Our little one had trouble napping at nursery, they’ve gone above and beyond to help her fall asleep happily cuddling on them for as long as she needed ❤️ Whenever we needed additional sessions or short term childcare it was possible and our daughter is always welcome. Their flexibility is amazing!
