I can't recommend Sowing and Growing enough! My daughter loves it so much that she demands to be taken there each morning. The management and staff are instrumental in creating a warm and nurturing atmosphere which makes you feel part of a lovely little community. Other highlights are the outdoor space, nutritional meals (that my daughter loves too!) and the two way communication which is exceptional from what I've heard from friends' experiences of other nurseries. Thank you S&G!

Our daughter has been at sowing and growing since she was 14months old now 4 years old and has thrived here building strong relationships with staff and her peers. She loves going to nursery every day, the staff are all so warm, caring and supportive. Management, the staff and the whole S&G team go above and beyond for the children. The nursery manager, in particular, is always thinking of fun ways for the children to learn and grow whilst having fun at the same time from ducklings hatching to themed fancy dress days to visits to parks, museums etc. We are so very lucky to have her at the helm. Facilities are great with a lovely outdoor space and a large hall in the church next door that they utilise when the weather isn’t so nice. The children are well fed with food from nursery food providers - zebedees topped up with healthy snacks. Our other daughter starts here soon - we didn’t consider sending her to any other nursery.

My son has attended S&G since he was around 15 months old and he is now 4. Over that time, the nursery has gone from strength to strength. Being an independent nursery, I’ve found them to be much more flexible and tailored to the individual needs of the children. All the staff are approachable and make a real effort to get to know not only the children but the parents as well. The staff seem to stay with the nursery long term, which really helps my son form strong bonds. They put on wonderful trips, family events, parties, and have a range of interesting visitors. I am really impressed at all the work going into school readiness. They are already starting to introduce the preschoolers to some of the school routines and expectations. They’re also organising walks to the local schools and even adding local uniforms to the dressing-up box. On the educational side, they’ve been steadily progressing with areas like phonics and maths for some time now, and it’s been great to see how much confidence and understanding my son has gained. Our whole family will miss the team and environment when my son goes to school in September.

Sowing and Growing is a great nursery - the staff are kind and generous and the children are always looked after to the highest standard! The facilities are amazing - with lots of extra activities like sports day, music classes and yoga. The food options are great and there’s always something for everyone. Would highly recommend sowing and growing to all children in the area.

Sowing and growing is a very special nursery! Our daughter has been going here since she was a baby and it has been a fantastic nurturing environment for her. The staff have been amazing at building her confidence and she has made some great friendships. We like the approach that staff take to learning about the world—making it fun and inclusive and part of playing. They also have regular little trips to the shops and library and more recently to the young v and a museum! We felt very emotional at her “graduation” last week and looking forward to her little sister having the same experience.
