About this day nursery

30am to 6pm, offering all-year childcare on non-domestic premises in Birmingham for children aged 0-4 years. The nursery received a Good rating in its latest Ofsted inspection on 23rd May 2023.

The curriculum is thoughtfully planned to prepare children for school, incorporating activities such as practising dressing and undressing for future physical education lessons, and encouraging turn-taking in group discussions. Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities benefit from dedicated 'bucket time' sessions, which help develop shared attention skills and strengthen listening and communication in preparation for larger group settings.

Staff, who maintain respectful relationships with the children, purposefully plan activities to enhance developing skills. This includes utilising funding to extend outdoor interests and purchasing resources to address any identified gaps in children's outdoor experiences.

The nursery ensures children's safety during outdoor play by actively counting them out of the building and taking necessary medication along. The environment fosters a sense of security, allowing children to gain control of their movements and confidently engage in play.

Parents have expressed appreciation for key persons who keep them informed of their child's progress.

Brilliant friendly nursery, my daughter has been loved, cared for, nurtured and has thrived. She has been full time since she was 6 months old and she loves it there. I have never had a single doubt or worry in three years.

My son has been going to springthrope for five months now and he loves it. The staff here have made him feel very comfortable making him happy to go to nursery in the morning… thank you☺️. Things that stand out to me about this nursery are: They keep you updated on what you child has eaten, nappy change and nap throughout the day. Making sure that your child is covered with the amount of nappies and wipes they have left. Observations that keep you up to date in that they are learning with your children and how they are doing. Overall this is a very good nursery and I would definitely recommend this nursery to people.

We couldn’t be happier with Springthorphe nursery! My son has been attending from just before his first birthday and is turning 4 in September. The staff are diligent and work hard to stretch children and help them develop all the skills they need to move on to school. My son has thrived and comes home everyday with another amazing story about all the fun he’s had. I feel comfortable leaving him with a team of staff who not only take his safeguarding seriously but shower him with love and care! Thank you to the wonderful team and everything they have done for us as a family ❤️
