The Nest Nursery in Pype Hayes offers a nurturing environment for children aged 0-5 years, designed to feel like an extension of home. The nursery distinguishes itself through a calm and tranquil atmosphere, utilising neutral tones and natural, open-ended resources to stimulate imagination and curiosity without overstimulation.

A strong emphasis is placed on outdoor learning, with children spending significant time exploring and connecting with nature. The nursery provides dedicated Forest School sessions for its older children, led by a Level 3 qualified practitioner, taking them to a local nature reserve.

Additionally, children benefit from weekly music sessions and fun activities that foster communication skills. The nursery also provides a healthy, balanced menu prepared by their own chef.

Located on the site of Gunter Primary School, the Pype Hayes setting was established in 2009 and has achieved outstanding Ofsted ratings.

What it's like

There is a calm, happy and sociable atmosphere at this nursery. Staff place a high priority on children's emotional development and children develop warm and trusting relationships. All children, including children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, are well supported and show positive attitudes towards learning.

Pricing & funding

Fees are charged based on age bands and session types, payable monthly in advance. Options include full days and half days (morning or afternoon). Rates include breakfast, lunch, and tea.
