About this day nursery

St Barnabas Pre-School operates independently as a charity, utilising the halls of St Barnabas Church in Hemel Hempstead during school term times, Monday through Friday. The church itself, an Anglican institution within the Parish of Hemel Hempstead, has a rich history, with its foundation stone laid by Queen Elizabeth II in 1952.

Originally established to meet the spiritual needs of residents in the burgeoning new town, the church property includes modern facilities such as two halls predominantly used by the pre-school, a reception area, a prayer room, and a secure community garden, alongside kitchen and disabled toilet facilities. St Barnabas Pre-School can be contacted directly via phone numbers provided on the church's website or through its own dedicated website.

The church also participates in the Hemel Hempstead Team Ministry, serving various areas within the town.

Our ethos

The church itself believes in 'For every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything' - Hebrews 3 v4, aiming to meet the spiritual needs of the people of Hemel Hempstead.

I was here to do a Rummage Sale for the local Girl Guides. The place is large with different rooms to use and a kitchen. I assume people can hire these out. Parking spaces are few but there is the local parade of shops next door where you can also park.
