About this day nursery

St. George's Nursery, a family-owned establishment, has been providing childcare since 1994. The founders' vision was to create a nursery that goes beyond conventional childcare, focusing on preparing children for school by developing their educational, social, physical, and emotional skills, alongside fostering confidence.

Today, the nursery continues to see a rapid increase in enrolled students, aiming to offer a secure and nurturing environment where children feel happy and safe. The nursery is committed to delivering quality education tailored to each child's age and individual needs, ensuring they thrive and grow.

St. George's Nursery also places importance on healthy eating, with a dedicated healthy food policy and accreditation. The team comprises dedicated, long-serving staff, and the nursery encourages a strong partnership with parents to create a happy and relaxed atmosphere for the children.

Pricing & funding

Fees are payable monthly in advance via direct debit. Various discounts are available including for full-time attendance, siblings, and NHS or emergency services personnel.

How they support every child

SEND provision

Children have access to a range of resources that cover all areas of the early years foundation stage. This supports children to be ready for their next stages of learning, including those who have special educational needs and/or disabilities. The special educational needs coordinator spoke to the inspector about how they support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities.

Outdoor space

Pre-school children share their awareness of keeping safe and healthy at group time. They talk about needing to have their sunhat and sun cream on before going out into the sun. Younger children find their own hats before going outside. The inspector observed the quality of education being provided, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact that this was having on children's learning.

My kids have been going to St George's Narborough for 8 months now and are just thriving! The staff are wonderful, friendly and really show they care about your children and their development. The rooms inside are well laid out and spacious and they have a garden for the children to run around and play in. The food provided at the Nursery is well balanced and varied each week which gives my children different foods and cuisines to try.

St. George's Nursery has a team of very caring and friendly staff who are keen to provide the best care for the children who attend. Their rooms are spacious and always have great activities planned for the children.

I would rate it high for St George Nursery, Narborough. My kid is going from age 1, and the staff are supportive. The environment is good, and their activities are helping my kid learn something new every time.

Staff are friendly but the nursery manager really doesn’t care. Terms and conditions will change without you knowing it and you have to give a whole terms notice if you no longer want to use the nursery. Charge stupid amounts for food also. You’ll never get to speak to someone higher up if you have a problem. Avoid!

Due to moving house we had to cancel our contract with the Nursery. On my sons final day at the nursery from the hours of 08:30 to 16:30 his nappy had been changed just the once as we could tell this by the number of nappies used in his rucksack. Also when questioned about what he had eaten that day I was met with the response “I don’t know”. Also information online as to what your child has been up to during their stay there is very limited and only been updated on his first day roughly 6 weeks ago! Not good enough on so many levels.
