Earlier in September, I applied for my son to attend this nursery. Everything went smoothly up until his settling-in phase. Unfortunately, my son did not settle well on the first day. They called me and said they were understaffed and couldn’t manage him. What disappointed me most was that they made me feel like there was something wrong with my son. I started doubting myself, and even though I wondered if he might have some behavioural issues, I was considering booking an appointment with the GP to discuss it. The manager lied to my face, saying she would call me when a space became available. I knew she was lying, so I didn’t bother putting my hopes in them. I immediately booked another nursery. Here’s the interesting part: when I enrolled my son at Bear Hugs Nursery, I was so scared and worried he wouldn’t settle. The owner and manager saw how nervous I was and reassured me. I phoned to check how he was doing, and they told me he was fine and that I shouldn’t worry because this is what they do. To my surprise, my son settled very well, and now when he goes to nursery, he always goes with a big smile on his face. And no, my son does not have behavioural problems. He’s just a typical 2-year-old toddler and he must of sensed their bad energy. Something is not right with this place. Now Day Star Nursery are sending leaflets to my door advertising places, and I am disgusted.

My daughter has been attending Star Day Nursery for almost 2 years. Care and love she has always got from the staff and other children is incredible. It has always felt like one big family. She consistently looks forward to going to the nursery. They have lots of interesting activities such as drawing, painting, singing, dancing, going to playgrounds and farms, etc. All the activities are planned to help with children’s mental and physical development. I regularly get updates and pictures on my phone regarding my daughter. They always go extra miles to help with anything I ask. I feel really lucky to have them within walking distance from our house and train station.

I can’t thank Caroline and the team enough for the work they are doing here. Being a first time mum I was very nervous about leaving my baby but they made the process so easy and put my mind at ease. The settling in period was great, I like that they do it over a week rather than just 1 or 2 days like most nurseries. Extremely accommodating. Souad is an absolute dream. My baby loves her so much. Thank you for doing an amazing job and looking after our precious little humans.
