Inclusion & environment
There are support plans for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities and these are overseen by the special educational needs coordinator.
Children enjoy healthy lifestyles and have access to several outside areas to build on their physical skills and learning, including riding trikes and digging in the dirt. Babies can go outside each day, though their shared area with older children can restrict their opportunities for play and learning due to time spent minimising risks.
We joined Starfish in Jan 2023 and my little girl has been very happy there. The staff in her room were very supportive whilst she settled in and she now skips in each morning. Staff turnover is high but that’s a sector issue, not a starfish issue. There have been lots of improvements recently with clear structure and learning activities and I feel like her development is a priority. Overall, very happy with the kind care and attention and how hard the room team
Read on GoogleStarfish is a fantastic nursery and we've loved it since day one! It is run by people who want to create the most supportive and welcoming space for families, and have worked hard to make each room imaginative and creative. I would highly recommend this nursery for anyone who wants their child to be safe, happy and nurtured by a wonderful team!
