My daughter has attended sunny days since she was 8 months old, she is now 4 starting school. She has loved every minute being at sunny days. She loves everyone, everyone is so welcoming. We will definitely miss seeing everyone everyday

We send our darling daughter to sunny days and I genuinely couldn’t be happier with our choice of nursery. They are so attentive of her and even after her settling in sessions they had started to get to know her and quickly picked up on her routine and current level of communication. The baby room has been amazing communicating with us and we get regular non intrusive to her updates every session and she is always well looked after.

My son has been at sunny days for 2 and a half years and absolutely loves it. He has made great friendships and he's always buzzing when I pick him up. Our baby girl started there also a couple of weeks ago. I was worried initially because she is very attached to us, but I shouldn't have been. Staff were caring and supportive during the settling sessions, getting in touch every half an hour or so to reassure us that she was ok and showing us pictures and videos of her playing. They even managed to get her to sleep on her first full day there! They've also been very accommodating with requests such as baby led weaning and the use cloth nappies.

Our two girls have gone to Sunny Days over the past 4 years. The nursery owners and their team have been outstanding, and our children love it. We’ve never had tears and they love going to Dorchester Sunny Days each week. Jo (manager) and the team have been so accommodating throughout the pandemic (we are key workers) and the Scaddens have explained all the COVID Secure procedures with clarity. We feel very safe sending our children there. Our eldest daughter has now moved up to school and despite being young for the year group (June birthday) she was more than ready to transition – Jane and the pre-school team delivered such great Early Years teaching and gave us great advice on how to support our daughter to reach her best potential. They even taught her how to ride a bike without stabilisers!! Also worth mentioning how much our children love the food. They seem to eat everything at nursery despite being a little fussy at home! We cannot recommend Sunny Days enough. The discount for local NHS staff and the month to month flexibility on bookings also help significantly.

Have been using SunnyDays in Poundbury, Dorchester for almost 2years now. My daughter Ava was only 7months old when she first went through those doors and I haven’t looked back. We needed the help with childcare as it’s only myself and my partner and I needed to go back to work. The nursery has EVERYTHING. Prices included everything; nappies, milk, formula, creams and an amazing menu!! Menu changes with the seasons and is on a rotation so great for variety and testing those adventurous taste buds. They even have a play loft. Complete soft play area and outside gardens where they can play inside and out completely safe and secure. From the beginning days when the team would see I was nervous about leaving her; they would go above and beyond by giving me a call to let me know she was settling in just fine. They also have an app which they update throughout the day letting me know what’s she’s eaten and how much, if she’s napped throughout the day and for how long. Nappy changes and observations where I get to see pictures of her enjoying her day and little milestones that she reaches. (Building towers, getting messy and having fun. Even recorded her taking her first steps at the nursery!) Having no other children her age around us, Sunny Days has been the best decision I done for her. She has came on leaps and bounds. A proper outgoing, caring character that is fearless and always wanting to try new things. She surprised me every day! We get face to face updates too when we collect them after their exciting day; telling us exactly what she’s been up to and what we can continue to do at home if there are any particular topics or interest they are paying particular attention too. Team members know Ava by name and she recognises them too. Running in to the team, hugging and waving “buh-bye” They try and move the children up in groups (when all are ready to of course) so that when they are going into new areas of the nursery; babies to toddlers - that there are other children and staff they are familiar with. Communication is OUTSTANDING even during the uncertain times of COVID-19! I had no doubt that they were doing everything possible to make it safe for parents, children and of course staff. I will never forget the memories you’ve sent Ava home with and the pictures you’ve uploaded to look back on. It’s all the little things that make this nursery stand out from the rest.
