What parents say

Verbatim quotes recorded in the Ofsted inspection

they notice their children's confidence and physical ability have developed, such as when climbing outdoor equipment

they appreciate assessments staff share with teaching staff when children move on to school

Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are supported well, and targeted interventions are swiftly identified. Children who start with fewer opportunities and experiences than their peers soon catch up and make good progress.

Outdoor space

Children benefit from many opportunities to practise their physical skills and abilities, such as balancing on wooden beams, negotiating a wobbly bridge, and exploring a challenging learning environment. Outdoors, children keenly look for minibeasts under a log.

Our 3 year old is currently in the pre-school room, and our 7 year old attends their after school club a few times a week (after a happy pre school era there before she went to school). We love Sunrise nursery -- it's a wonderful community minded nursery with happy children and staff who work hard to care for all the children. From the baby room to the pre school room, our children have had a great experience there. There are plenty of lovely activities for them, carefully planned around their age groups, strong friendships are formed and close relationships with staff. All the children are treated as individuals. We particularly value the fact that lots of staff are long term members of the team so we've known several of them for a long time now! But on top of that, their current manager has worked incredibly hard to help the nursery improve even more, and that energy and care is really wonderful to see. We highly recommend Sunrise nursery.

Our 3-year-old has been attending Sunrise Nursery since he was 1, and we honestly couldn’t be happier! The staff are fantastic, you can really feel how much they care and the management team go above and beyond in everything they do. We’re always kept in the loop, they supported us through potty training, and they’re constantly improving the nursery in ways that make a real difference. They make a real effort with the various events and activities they do.

My two children currently attend Sunrise and have done so since they were 8 months and 1 year old. Sunrise has supported them incredibly in their development, and we couldn’t be more grateful. A big shout-out to all the staff members who have helped them grow. The whole team at Sunrise is wonderful and consistently does a fantastic job—a true reflection of their manager and her great leadership skills. Since she joined Sunrise, the nursery has only continued to improve! We are beyond confident in Sunrise and know we definitely made the right decision sending our little ones here. Thank you so much!!

Our daughter is currently at Sunrise and our son went there before her. It is a great nursery with lots for the children to do - a sensory room, an outside play area, a mud kitchen, balance bikes, and a playground. Our daughter loves her key workers and is learning a lot. The staff are very dedicated to the children. They have also been really good on helping her to transition out of nappies.

Both my children have gone to sunrise and it is wonderful! The people truly care about my children and it’s a fun, playful environment with lots of time outside in the garden, lots of reading and messy play
