Inclusion & environment
Leaders ensure children's needs are quickly and effectively identified, gathering detailed information from families, holding regular conversations, and completing observations. Staff use assessment tools, such as speech and language trackers, to recognise concerns early. A robust procedure is in place to assess, plan, do, and review learning for children with SEND, ensuring tailored support and positive progress. Leaders work closely with parents and outside professionals, making thoughtful adaptations to the environment and curriculum to support all children.
Children benefit from regular access to outdoor learning, giving them space to explore and be active throughout the day. Outside, they kick balls, throw water balloons at a pretend fire and dig, scoop and pour in the sand and water tray.
Staff ensure that all children, including those facing barriers, can follow expectations, using pictures of resources and activities, clear language, and small adaptations to the environment so every child can participate confidently.
