As a registered charity, Thames Pre-school welcomes children aged 2 until they start school, offering various funded sessions and maintaining a strong connection with families through a detailed fees and funding policy.

Children are happy and clearly enjoy attending the pre-school. Staff prioritise children's well-being and build positive relationships with families. The key-person system is effective, helping children to settle quickly. Staff encourage children to express their feelings and emotions, for example, by using stones with various emotions on.

Pricing & funding

Charges are billed hourly for any extra or unfunded hours, with a separate flat fee for early morning starts. Hot lunches are charged per meal with an additional VAT fee.

How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities receive additional support with their learning and development. The special educational needs coordinator is knowledgeable and understands her role well, working closely with staff and other professionals to ensure children get the right help, at the right time.

Outdoor space

Staff provide stimulating and nurturing environments, both indoors and outdoors. Children take part in regular forest school sessions in the garden, where staff encourage them to respect the natural world and carefully manage risks, such as climbing trees.
