Inclusion & environment
Children enjoy being outside, where they kick balls, explore the sand and climb on the pirate ship. They are imaginative, finding sticks outside and deciding to use these indoors to paint with.
We have had two children attend the nursery and can’t fault our experience. They’re always happy to go in and come home with big smiles. The staff are friendly, caring and attentive. The meals are nutritious and vary from week to week. The nursery provides a safe, welcoming, and stimulating environment with a wide range of activities that encourage learning and confidence. The tapestry account allows us to see a clear over view of our child's day which is great peace of mind when we are at work! I would recommend the Apple Tree for anyone looking for a nursery in the area!
Read on GoogleMy son goes to Apple Tree Nursery and I honestly couldn’t be happier. The staff are absolutely brilliant – they are all so caring and really take the time to know Harry and his routine, which makes such a difference. He has developed so much since being there, both socially and in his confidence. The food is always healthy, nutritious, and looks lovely too. Overall, it’s such a warm and welcoming nursery, and I feel completely at ease knowing he’s well looked after. I would highly recommend Apple Tree Nursery to anyone.
Read on GoogleMy 2 year old is currently at Appletree and she loves it, always walks out with a smile and a lot to tell me. The team are always doing different things with the kids like arts & crafts and my daughter loves displaying all her bits and bobs when she comes home. The staff are polite and happy to chat about my daughter at the end of the day. They also provide a lot of photos of what she gets up to which I love seeing. A little disappointed the cost was risen this January after a price rise in April, i never expect companies to rise prices twice in a year and due to this I have had to lower my daughters hours. This does not take away from the fact that the nursery itself is great.
Read on GoogleOur son has been going since he was around 9 months old and is now almost 2. He loves it, he goes there for a long day twice a week, 8am until 6pm. He has a key worker who he likes, he had his worker changed and communication was good around this. The staff post diary updates every day so you know what's been going on and are pretty good at posting photos too when they do activities, which they do a lot of. They always do something relevant to a holiday or event and also do themed activities like fruit tasting/fruit paint stamps when doing a fruit week for example. They spend a lot of time in garden on nice days and also allow for a large variety of play like role play, nursery rhymes, arts and crafts etc. Food seems decent, not that I've eaten it, they rotate the menu and also ask parents for feedback/ideas. Our child eats food there he wouldn't touch at home so we know if he's having a nursery day he's going to get a decent meal in him. As with most nurseries you have to pay an additional fee for meals/snacks. Alternatively you can send packed lunch if you don't want to do that. The manager is prompt in any questions you may have and overall communication is very good, they also have a facebook which they post helpful information on that also goes beyond the nursery itself such as around checking eligibility for funded hours etc. The staff that we've met all seem nice, caring people, our son has his favourites and is unsure of those he's not familiar with which is totally normal, they don't appear pushy if he's not sure. If there's an incident such as banging his head, they'll always call you. They, rightly so, have strict rules about sending a child in who is unwell and also seeking information and signed statement if your child goes in injured. All normal and necessary safeguarding responses. Our soon to be born daughter will also be attending here once she makes her debut and hopefully both children will remain here, going up through the different aged classrooms, until they're ready for primary school.
Read on GoogleThe Appletree is a fantastic nursery, my 3 year old son loves going here. He is always so excited to go and see the team and his friends. I love getting the updates and seeing pictures of the fun activities he gets up to. We moved to the area last September and were worried about him settling in at a new nursery but the staff and nursery were fantastic and he was soon talking how how much he loved his new nursery! It’s been lovely to see how his confidence, skills and knowledge have grown since he started and I’d definitely recommend Appletree nursery.
