Highly recommended…………Trusting people and organizations when it comes to your child can be incredibly challenging. My journey to ensure my child feels secure and trusts others has been long. I faced difficulties getting my son to adjust to the nursery, leading me to explore other options in Exeter and try various settling sessions, all of which were unsuccessful. My earlier mistake was selecting nurseries that had a high number of children and fewer attentive staff. I discovered The Ark through friends who experienced similar challenges with their daughter. The Ark has made both my son and me feel very welcome. Sharon, the wonderful manager, is very kind and professional, demonstrating a deep understanding of how to run the nursery effectively. After attending settling sessions with my son, I personally witnessed the care and attention given to each child, as well as the respect and professionalism exhibited by the staff. On multiple occasions, I have observed that the Managing Directors of The Exwick Ark, Paula Stone and Harriet Sharp, are both very kind and welcoming. They do sometimes attend to make sure everything goes well and that’s give me even more assurance. Thank you to all staff at The Ark at Thomas hall.
Read on GoogleThis is a truly wonderful place. The staff are all patient, kind and so nurturing. My daughter took a little while to settle and the staff allowed her to adjust to the setting on her own time and kept me updated so I could go get her if she was really upset. My daughter quickly became secure with the staff and happy to approach them for comfort. She is really secure there, she loves the staff and her friends and she loves going to kindegarten. She loves helping prep the food, all the craft projects and spends lots of time playing in the garden. She is always smiling when I collect her at the end of the day. We're very grateful to everyone at the Ark for creating such a warm and loving environment.
Read on GoogleAll of my 4 children have attended The Ark over the past 8 years. The quality of care they have received is exceptional. The setting is ideal for children, it is very much home from home. The communication is great and I trust all the staff; they have the safety and well being of the children at the centre of everything they do. Highly recommended.
Read on GoogleVery happy with how our two kids (5 and 2) are getting on here. Our youngest goes to the nursery and the oldest joins for the after school club, which is extremely convenient for Thomas Hall school. Both have used the holiday club. They have a great time there and are learning loads. The kids especially enjoy all the outdoor space.
Read on GoogleI feel very lucky we found a place that promotes the types of things we care about as a family: lots of outdoor time, creativity and kindness. The food is homemade, they do yoga and meditation — it’s like a wellness retreat! The staff have supported my child so well and give such attention to detail. It also seems quite calm (relatively speaking!) compared to some other settings we visited. I think they do a great job and would definitely recommend it.
