The Beehive Childcare Group in Norwich provides care for children aged from two to eleven years. The day nursery offers term-time sessions from Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 5.50pm. Out-of-school provision is also available, along with care during school holidays. The organisation accepts government funding for eligible two, three and four-year-olds. At its inspection in April 2024, Ofsted judged the day nursery to be 'Good' overall.

The inspector noted that staff plan a broad and varied curriculum based on children’s individual interests and abilities. Children understand routines and are supported to develop their independence. Staff use spoken language, sign language and pictures to enhance communication, and children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) receive targeted support. Children spend time outside each day where they can pedal tricycles, kick a ball and use an obstacle course.

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are well supported. Staff are swift to identify areas of concern and put plans in place to ensure targeted intervention. Where further or external support is needed, the setting's special educational needs coordinator (SENCo) is swift to work in partnership with other professionals.

Outdoor space

Children get to spend time outside each day. They learn how to kick a ball, pedal tricycles and negotiate an obstacle course.

My son went to this nursery, and I wish we had moved him to a different group. It needs a complete overhaul of management and staff
