The Blue Door Nursery, a family-owned and operated establishment in Seaford, has been providing exceptional care for over two decades. Catering to children aged 0 to 5 years, the day nursery prides itself on its family-centric approach, offering flexible session times and inclusive pricing.

Children at Blue Door enjoy a home-cooked meal at lunchtime and benefit from extensive indoor facilities alongside three secure outdoor gardens, including a spacious grassy area. The day nursery welcomes government funding, including the 30-hour entitlement for eligible children, and is open 51 weeks a year, closing only for weekends, Bank Holidays, and the period between Christmas and New Year.

How they support every child

SEND provision

Leaders and staff know children well. They track their progress, which enables them to identify any delays in children's development. Leaders take swift action to ensure that children access the support they require. They work with parents and other agencies so that children receive consistent support.

Outdoor space

Children are supported to identify and manage risks for themselves. For example, they help staff to assess the outdoor learning area for risks. Staff encourage them to check that their play area is safe and to look out for potential hazards. Children have opportunities to take part in forest school sessions.

I cannot praise The Blue Door Nursery enough, they are friendly yet professional, kind, caring and extremely accommodating. My daughter has been so happy going to 'school' there and always comes home with a big smile on her face and lots of stories to tell. The updates parents receive are also really helpful and insightful. All the staff really 'pull out the stops' to ensure a fun yet educational time is had by all. Five stars *****
