How they support every child

SEND provision

Staff quickly identify children's unique needs through baseline assessments, language screening, and detailed analysis of developmental gaps. Leaders closely monitor progress and use assessment to adapt provision and plan targeted interventions. Strong multi-agency partnerships exist to enhance support for children with more complex needs and those known to social care. Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are well supported, and staff work closely with families and professionals to tailor experiences for participation.

Outdoor space

Outdoors, children eagerly collect sticks and mud, mixing ingredients to create a 'reaction' and developing an awareness of new language. Children enjoy nutritious food and drink and benefit from daily outdoor play that supports their strength, balance, and coordination. They also attend 'beach school' to explore the coastline and learn about water safety.

EAL / language support

Staff support children's language and mathematical development with a clear purpose, using language modelling, running commentaries during play, and repetition to reinforce vocabulary. They model precise colour names and descriptive language, and support children in counting and comparing quantities.
