The Garden at Kingswood is a nurturing nursery located within the extensive grounds of Kingswood Pre-Prep in Bath, catering to children aged nine months to four years. Emphasising a calm and engaging environment, the nursery supports children's early learning journeys through discovery, play, and encouragement.
It prioritises personal well-being as a cornerstone for development, fostering independence, imagination, and eagerness to engage in new experiences. The nursery champions outdoor learning, providing regular access to natural play areas, open lawns, and a dedicated Forest School, with even the youngest children having garden-like spaces outside their rooms.
The Garden gently prepares children for the transition to school by guiding development through observation and personalised support, including activities that build confidence and social skills, along with early literacy and numeracy. They also provide opportunities for children to experience the Reception classrooms before starting school.
The nursery values strong partnerships with parents, offering continuous updates, meetings, and shared insights into each child's progress. Adhering to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, The Garden balances child-led play with adult-guided experiences to cultivate independence, resilience, and confidence, ensuring children leave with strong foundations and positive memories for their next educational chapter.
