Little Penguins Day Nursery, established in 2012 in Latchford, Warrington, is a dedicated childcare provider for children aged 0-4 years. The nursery prides itself on offering a "home from home" environment, with recently redecorated facilities.
They operate Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, closing only for a week at Christmas and public holidays. The nursery categorises children into three age groups: Seal Pups (0-2 years), Little Penguins (2-3 years), and Polar Bears (3-4 years).
They provide a comprehensive, balanced curriculum covering all seven areas of EYFS learning within their secure outdoor play area. Parents are responsible for supplying nappies and baby milk, but the nursery offers a home-cooked two-course lunch, breakfast between 8:00 am and 9:00 am, and healthy snacks throughout the day.
Water is always accessible to children. The nursery emphasises flexibility in utilising funded hours to suit individual needs and encourages prospective parents to book a visit.
All staff are highly qualified, holding NVQ Level 3 or above, and are trained in Paediatric First Aid, ensuring the safety and well-being of every child.

it is an inclusive and happy place where everyone is welcomed and encouraged to thrive
Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are well supported. Leaders ensure good relationships with other involved professionals, including making referrals to other agencies when needed. This helps to ensure that children receive the support that they need. Consequently, children with SEND achieve well and their needs are met.
The inspector observed the quality of education being provided, indoors and outdoors, and assessed the impact that this was having on children's learning.
Both of our children have attended Little Penguins so my 5 star review stands for the past 4 years. The staff are amazing with the kids. We attended a stay and play session today to watch our little boy play with his friends and he is truly happy and content there. Brilliant nursery!
