How they support every child
SEND provision
The special educational needs coordinator (SENCo) identifies children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) and makes referrals to outside agencies. However, the role of the SENCo is not yet fully established, and training opportunities are not focused enough on children's individual needs. Although support plans are in place for children with SEND, staff are not always supported to identify strategies to best support them.
Outdoor space
Children enthusiastically transport their sunflower plants to the outdoor area and plant them in their allotment, learning about parts of a plant and how to care for them. Children's physical development is promoted well; they have copious amounts of space to run around, and toddlers practise walking up and down hills in the outdoor space.

The environment provided for children is truly wonderful. It offers a great opportunity for kids to lay a strong foundation. The dedicated and nurturing teachers are always enthusiastic about providing the necessary support and guidance to help the children thrive.

Best nursery ever !!! the manager is wonderful I was put at ease the moment I walked in and I was a nervous wreck so it made me feel SO much better. Cannot recommend enough all the staff are brilliant and my precious baby is amazingly cared for ❤️they don’t mind at all me ringing all the time and don’t make me feel like I’m bothering them! They are all beautiful people and I thank them for being so kind with my daughter every day

My child has been here for 2 years now and has loved every single day. The staff are supportive, caring and always on hand to help with any issue. The nursery really cares for her development and making sure that she is on track!

I cannot fault Holyrood nursery! They go above and beyond every day and we couldn’t be happier that we’ve found such a fabulous nursery for our little boy. We’ll be sad when our time comes to an end and he has to go to big school.
