About this day nursery

The Little Ripley Day Nursery, established in 1988, is a family-operated business with fifteen nurseries located across Sutton Coldfield, Erdington, Great Barr, and Kingstanding. The day nursery is committed to offering a nurturing, secure, and supportive atmosphere where children can thrive.

They aim to provide a "home from home" environment with engaging activities and age-appropriate resources in bright, comfortable rooms and well-equipped outdoor play areas. The nursery prioritises the well-being and safety of the children, while also fostering an environment that encourages learning and development.

They follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, integrating its curriculum into all activities to ensure children learn without pressure. Children can join as babies, toddlers, or pre-schoolers, and the nursery strives to prepare them to be happy, caring, and successful as they transition to "big" school.

Each nursery has a dedicated team of experienced and qualified staff, many of whom have been with the company for several years, ensuring consistent care. A key worker system is in place to support children and parents during transitions and to provide a primary point of contact for daily matters.

The nursery also provides wholesome, nutritious meals prepared by their own dedicated cooks, with menus displayed weekly. They maintain an open-door policy, encouraging parents to communicate with staff about their child’s needs and progress, and utilise the ParentMail messaging system for updates and routine messages.

The nursery prides itself on its commitment to continuity of care and each child’s individual development, with observations recorded electronically through an Interactive Learning Diary (ILD) that parents can access and contribute to.

Both my kids attended this nursery and I have nothing but praise for Little Ripley. The staff to the management have been absolutely incredible. My son had additional needs and the nursery accommodated him perfectly, I was able to go to work with a peace of mind knowing that my son was happy and being looked after in the best way possible. I was so sad when my son left, but so grateful that he attended a nursery where he was nurtured into the bright child he is today at Reception. I would highly, highly recommend this nursery to everyone with children. Sarrah x

Love this nursery my little ones been their coming up to 2 years. The staff are brilliant, communicate very well with parents, the nursery is bright and clean and the online diary is fab as it keeps parents up to date with what their learning/doing. Good preparation for school,my daughter knows all her colours, counts to 20, shapes and her speech is brilliant all down to the nursery staff, she's just turned 3, I wish I could take some credit but I work long hours. My daughter is always smiling and happy when she comes out which is the most important thing. Little ripleys on Kingsbury road your amazing!

Little Ripley Day Nursery Kingsbury Road have provided child care for both my children for the last 7 years. I trust them to care and look after my children like they are one of their own. All the staff are approachable, non judgmental, supportive and helpful. I feel confident leaving my children in their care. They help with everything from potty training to learning french. They have their own kitchen and provide healthy meals daily and my children get to try new foods regularly. They also have a cooking teacher who comes in and teaches the children baking. They do fun activities that cover every topic and theme throughout the year. They celebrate all religions and include all children in learning about diversity. I will be so sad for my youngest to leave because they have become part of our extended family and I can genuinely say that my children love the girls who work there. I am so thankful for their help preparing my children for school and reassuring me they are safe while I am at work, they are flexible and always helpful. The nursery is divided into different age group rooms which the children move up into as they grow from babies to toddlers to preschoolers. They have a lovely safe garden which is full of fun toys and activities the children can play with. Every member of staff is friendly and loving towards the children, they all encourage positive behaviour and are enthusiastic. The children learn lots while also having fun. They keep a learning journal online that is personal to your child that you can access to see what activities the kids have been doing and take photos to show you their progression. They also have newsletters to keep parents updated with what’s going on in nursery. They have great communication. It’s a brilliant nursery I highly recommend little ripleys Kingsbury road.

My daughter attended Little ripley from 5 months until 4 years. She loved it. I used to struggle to get her to leave!!!!. My daughter's communication and social skills are all credit to this nursery as my daughter spent more waking hours with them than me! Highly recommended ❤️
