The Marston Day Nursery, opened in August 2020, offers a nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 12 weeks to 5 years in Marston Moretaine, Bedfordshire. The nursery is part of the CC Nurseries Group, an organisation established in 2016 with multiple locations across southern England and Scotland.
They emphasise hands-on learning experiences, particularly outdoors, and are developing an extensive landscape garden featuring willow domes, earth mounds, play puddles, a firepit, and an allotment where children can learn about growing produce. Indoors, the nursery boasts modern facilities, including the Haba "Foxhole" play equipment designed for sensory stimulation.
With capacity for 101 children, the light and airy rooms provide a secure and homely atmosphere. Safety is paramount, with fingerprint recognition technology for secure access.
Situated conveniently close to Stewartby Lake and Marston Vale Millennium Country Park, children have access to natural environments, while its location at Marston Business Park makes it ideal for commuting parents. The nursery prioritises good nutrition, providing fresh and healthy meals cooked on-site daily.
The dedicated team focuses on creating engaging provocations based on children's interests, ensuring a warm, home-from-home experience. The Marston Day Nursery achieved an "Ofsted GOOD" rating in its first inspection in September 2021, highlighting their commitment to quality childcare and extended learning opportunities.

Inclusion & environment
Managers understand the possibility of children falling behind in their learning, particularly following the COVID-19 lockdowns. Their frequent monitoring of children's progress means they swiftly highlight areas where further support is needed. Staff adapt their support to suit children, particularly those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, so that all make good progress. Staff work well with families and other professionals.
Children enjoy many activities that help develop their physical skills and knowledge of how to keep themselves safe. They crawl through tunnels and climb on pallets, carefully assessing the safety of these before climbing. Staff also encourage children to make paint patterns on pallets with the soles of their shoes.
So fortunate to have found this nursery for my daughter. The staff are all so caring & lovely, always keeping you updated. My child absolutely loves her time there and all the staff (often singing their names!). The food is also better than anything I’d be able to offer at home! The chef puts lots of thought & effort into the menu. Due to it being such a great place, it has long waiting lists, so would definitely advice reserving a spot for your baby when you are pregnant!
Read on GoogleAmazing staff ❤️ We are so grateful for the love, care, and patience you showed every single day. You made a true difference in our child’s life, helping them grow not only in skills but also in confidence and joy. Thank you for creating such a warm and welcoming place that felt like a second home. We will always carry this experience with us.
Read on GoogleIt is a great nursery. My baby loves going there. The staff are just great, he is clearly super well cared for and we couldn't ask for more. Also, Alison takes extra care for his food and we are super grateful. Overall it is an amazing place with wonderful people
Read on GoogleThe team at Marston Day Nursery have been exceptional. Right from day one, their communication has been excellent, their vast knowledge of childcare across the team is very impressive. My son has settled so well here compared to another nursery and that’s because the team spent one on one time with him, made him feel he could play and express himself there and also allowed parents to be in the settling in sessions if needed. The nursery is furnished to a very high standard and has lots of toys to suit every child. They also often take trips outdoors and have an excellent garden for outside play. All the team are a pleasure to deal with. I would not hesitate to recommend this nursery.
Read on GoogleThe Marston Day Nursery is an outstanding childcare facility. My child has been attending since the age of one, and is about to go into the preschool room. Anyone who meets him remarks on his confidence, speech and above all else, his manners. We as a family firmly believe it has been his time spent at the nursery which has underpinned these qualities for him. Every time he attends he runs in, says goodbye to us, and is ways happily engaged in a fun activity when we come to collect him. The team take the time to get to know each child well, and complete regular assessments on their progress as well as regular parents conferences online. Their outdoor space is ample and allows children to be children! With regular walks to explore the local area too! We adore the nursery and team, and can not recommended them enough!
