Blue Orkids Wootton Nursery is fantastic. We started our son there when he was 7 months old and he loves it. He always has a big smile on his face when we drop him off and pick him up. He's become more independent and his development has come along so much since starting. The team are incredibly friendly and helpful. They're always doing different activities and trying new things. I highly recommend this nursery.

My daughter has been attending Wootton Community nursery for just almost a year now. She absolutely loves it and runs in every time. I can’t recommend them enough. From day 1 they have made us feel very welcome and my little girl settled into nursery so quickly with a smile at the end of most days which was absolutely down to the care, attention and focus on her. Every morning and evening you are greeted with smiling faces and they really do seem to love their jobs. All of the staff were wonderful, caring and so supportive. Any accounting questions I had they always got right back to me, so easy to work with in all areas. We will really miss all of them!

Very welcoming and friendly team. Lovely setting. The staff offer a friendly, caring approach to looking after my daughter and son. The daily activities help to develop their learning as well as lots of free playtime. I get regular updates via the parent portal app with actives they are doing, how well they have eaten, and how long they have had with their naps. Would definitely recommend as a great nursery to use.

To be clear my child has not attended this nursery, but I have had a bad experience simply through being on the waiting list. My twins went on to the waiting list in January 2024 and I was told the earliest spaces they could have would be March 2025 (Monday and Friday). There was no mention of any waiting list fees. We remained on the list until May 2024 when we were suddenly told we now needed to pay £50.00 (non-refundable) if we wanted to remain on the waiting list, and that the twins now would not have spaces until September 2025 (at the earliest and that was not a guarantee). I queried what had happened to the March 2025 spaces and they confirmed these spaces had been offered to other children. They said it was difficult to find spaces for twins, and I therefore asked if in the circumstances the twins could remain on the waiting list without paying the fee as we were not advised about any fee upon entry to the waiting list and they could not guarantee us a space in any event. They refused and said the twins would be removed from the waiting list unless the £50.00 fee was paid. Incredibly disappointing and a big waste of time and energy. I would avoid this nursery as the administrative side of things seems very erratic and you may be asked to pay a non-refundable fee with no guarantee of a space at the nursery.

Since YMCA have taken over the Nursery, it has become clear that thier own mission statement only exists on paper. Which was further highlighted this week when they hiked up thier pricing by over 200%. As of next month, our Nursery bill will increase by more than £500 a month ( that's an annual increase of approximately £6,000 a year) Some parents have seen even bigger monthly increases. YMCA are now charging fees above that of other Nurseries locally, however without the same level of facilities. At a time when living costs are rising sharply, we understood a price increase may be necessary, however, this is unjustifiable. Equally, only providing parents with one month's notice for such huge increases in fees does not give enough time to make alternative plans. It's disgusting, YMCA clearly have no thought at all for the children or the parents they cast the illusion of servicing. (This is by no means a reflection on the staff at the nursery, who I appreciate had no input over the decision)
