Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities receive one-to-one support from staff who know them well and are aware of their individual needs. All staff attend specialised training and implement what they learn into their practice. The special educational needs coordinator is knowledgeable and supportive. Any issues are dealt with swiftly and action plans implemented to ensure all children benefit from a safe and inclusive environment.
Children enjoy the time they spend outdoors. They eagerly hunt for bugs, carefully lifting leaves and twigs to see what they can find hidden underneath them. They use magnifying glasses to look at the insects and staff encourage children to recall the names of them. This helps to develop children's love of nature and their thinking skills.
I have been teaching Spanish to the pre-school group at the Old Station Nursery, Moseley, for over a year and it is always such a highlight of my week! I get such a warm welcome from the lovely management and staff; they really make me feel like part of the team. The children are ready to learn when I arrive, greet me warmly (in Spanish!), and consistently impress me with the amount of Spanish that they remember from one week to the next. The learning space is stimulating, colourful, and bright and the garden (we have had some of our Spanish lessons outdoors) is enormous and a really wonderful space - lucky children! Thank you to everyone at The Old Station Nursery, Moseley, for making me feel so welcome and I look forward to continuing working with you and your brilliant little linguists!
Read on GoogleI enquired at this Nursery last week and was given a date to visit not long after. The member of staff who showed me around was so warm, welcoming and knowledgable - she was able to answer all the questions I had. It was clear that there is a strong focus on child development through play-based learning, communication, and social interaction. I left with a positive impression and feel confident that this setting would be a nurturing and stimulating place for my child to grow and learn.

The staff member showing us around was exceptionally knowledgeable & explained everything very well! Lovely, nurturing and warm environment where kids are well looked after and Educators are passionate about what they do! Thank you very much for showing us around and we are feeling confident that our daughter will thrive in here.
