Inclusion & environment
The support children receive to develop their communication and language skills is very strong. This includes children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. They receive tailored support from staff to increase their skills and make good progress.
All children readily explore the outdoor environment. For example, the youngest children chase bubbles blown by staff, stamping their feet and reaching to catch them. Older children use magnifying glasses as they explore nature in the forest space. They look closely at bugs they find living underneath logs. Children use reference books to identify and talk about what they have found.
Babies develop speech quickly in this language-rich environment. Staff speak clearly and regularly to introduce new words during play. This helps to increase children's vocabulary and understanding.
A wonderful nursery with a brilliant outdoor area, including a forest school. The staff are amazing - they create such a warm and welcoming environment for the children, engaging activities and outdoor play. Staff are very professional and attentive towards the children, and go above & beyond to make sure the children flourish.
Read on GoogleA lovely nursery with such caring and attentive staff. The forest school provision is beautiful and the children have so many opportunities to be outside and exploring nature. The recent teddys bears picnic was adorable!
Read on GoogleHaving recently visited The Old Station Nursery Wellesbourne, I was delighted to see so many children engaged in purposeful play in the outdoors. So many happy smiles, busy hands and wonderful conversations - a joy to witness!
Read on GoogleJust attended the new starter event and was so pleased my child’s new key worker was there. Had a lovely chat and feel really safe leaving her in her very experienced hands.
Read on GoogleRecommend The Old Station Nursery Wellesbourne to everyone. My little girl started in the toddler room in September 2024 and they have exceeded my expectations. I have never once had to leave her upset and not wanting to go in. She runs (or sometime dances) through the door with a huge smile on her face every time. The staff that work in her room are extremely caring and professional and make it their mission to know every child’s quirks and favourite things. I’m adding an extra day to her nursery schedule from September 2025 and have no reservations about this decision. I’m confident the team in preschool will do everything to help get her ready to take that leap into school from September 2026.
