About this day nursery
The Pre-School Playstation, established in January 2001 by Sandra Rushforth, operates five days a week during term time, from 9 am to 3 pm. Located within the Alan Talbott room of The Village Hall in Broughton Astley, the pre-school offers a nurturing environment for young children as they begin their educational journey.
Since 2018, the pre-school has boasted its own Level 3 Forest School leader, enabling regular outdoor educational trips for groups of up to 12 children using their dedicated adventure bus. The dedicated team, including owner/manager Sandra Rushforth, deputy manager Amanda Turner, and early years practitioners Abbi Rushforth, Kirsty Pratt, and Sarah Whitmore, are highly qualified with various NVQs, Foundation Degrees, and BA Hons in Early Childhood Studies.
They also hold certifications in safeguarding, food hygiene, and paediatric first aid, ensuring a safe and enriching experience for all children. The Pre-school Playstation encourages parents to contact them to secure a place for their child and explore the engaging activities offered.

How they support every child
SEND provision
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) receive good support from staff. Staff work closely with other professionals to ensure that children with SEND have appropriate support for their needs.
Outdoor space
Children enjoy collecting leaves, twigs and feathers to record what they have seen on their walk in the pre-school garden. They become engrossed in watching worms wriggle back into the soil. Parents particularly like the use of the outdoor environment. Children enjoy daily fresh air and exercise.
