We feel incredibly lucky to have found The Railway Children Upminster for our daughter. She started attending when she was just 1 year old, and now at 2, the progress we’ve seen in her development, confidence, and happiness has been truly heartwarming. The staff are absolutely wonderful—caring, patient, and genuinely invested in each child’s growth. They create such a nurturing and safe environment that our daughter runs in with a smile every morning! Her language skills have come on leaps and bounds, and we’re constantly amazed at the things she learns—from songs and stories to new social skills. Communication with parents is excellent too. We always feel informed and reassured, and we love the little updates and photos showing what she’s been up to during the day. We couldn’t recommend The Railway Children more highly. It’s a place filled with love, learning, and laughter—exactly what every parent hopes for. Thank you to the whole team for all the amazing care you give!
Read on GoogleAs my eldest departs for big school this week, I’ve got to give a huge shout out to The Railway Children Nursery. At a time of needing a nursery, a new one popped up on the high street. With only good reviews from the original Gidea Park setting and COVID still impacting life, we toured the first of what is now 2 settings on Upminster High Street. Of course scepticism fills the mind, especially when you hand over your most precious belonging to ‘strangers’, but we couldn’t be more grateful and thankful to everyone at The Railway Children. All the staff, across both settings have had such an amazing and positive impact on the early years of his life. Don’t be turned off by no outdoor space, as it couldn’t actually work better with daily (weather permitting) outdoor trips to a vast multitude of places and venues. The communication via personal groups and the app is brilliant. We’ve recommended the Railway Children to handfuls of parents (friends) who all now have their children at the settings and now are happily part of The Railway Children Family. A big thank you to Jess, Lilly (key worker) and all the staff. He loves you all and we are so happy to continue our relationship with you all through his little brother!

Read on GoogleWe couldn’t be happier with our experience at Upminster Nursery. From the moment we enrolled our son, we’ve felt completely supported and reassured by the outstanding management and exceptional staff. The team is not only professional and well-organized, but also incredibly caring, patient, and attentive to each child’s individual needs. Our son has blossomed in their care—he’s become more confident, social, and enthusiastic about learning. The communication from Jessica & Becky along with the nursery staff is excellent, we always feel informed and involved in our son’s development. The management truly goes above and beyond to ensure every child feels safe, valued, and happy. We’re so grateful to have found a place that feels like a second home for our child. Highly recommend to any parent looking for quality early years care!
Read on GoogleThe Railway Children has been a part of our lives since 2019 now and our two daughters have thrived during their time here. The nursery is truly a home from home and the smaller more intimate setting fosters a unique environment that has helped provide our children with a comprehensive and wholesome start to life - couldn’t recommend this enough.
