About this day nursery

Gidea Park Prep School, located in Romford, RM2 5JR, provides a nurturing educational environment where children are encouraged to thrive academically and socially. The school does not follow a selective admissions process, instead focusing on a child's ability to engage with their peers and manage the school's pace.

Prospective families can begin with an initial enquiry, followed by a personalised tour led by Form 6 pupils and a meeting with the Headmaster. To formally register, a form is required, after which a taster day is arranged for the child to experience school life.

For nursery pupils, this taster session is typically an hour long. Following a successful taster, a formal offer of a place is extended, detailing the start date and enrolment instructions.

The school also provides wraparound care options for students, including a morning club and an after-school facility, and offers various discounts such as sibling and NHS employee reductions. Gidea Park Prep is committed to supporting families with government early years funding, including 15 and 30-hour schemes for eligible children, and strives to ensure a smooth and welcoming transition for all new pupils into its community.
