The Rocking Horse Nursery has been an absolute delight for our daughter. From the moment we first met the staff and walked through the Rocking Horse door, you can feel the fun, caring atmosphere created by the staff. The team are really talented at individualising their approach for different children. They are attentive, patient, and genuinely invested in each child’s wellbeing and unique development. The nursery environment is centred around fun learning: the classrooms are spacious with loads of fun decorations (lots of which are made by the children and staff creating a lovely atmosphere) and each day is well organised, with plenty of engaging activities that keep the children stimulated and happy throughout the day. As first time parents, we were so nervous at the first nursery drop off, and that disappeared so quickly as it was clear our child was having a brilliant time. Communication with parents is excellent as well. We always feel informed and reassured, whether it’s through multiple daily updates and photos, supportive meetings with senior staff or friendly chats at pick-up. If you’re looking for a nurturing, stimulating and joyful environment, I can’t recommend The Rocking Horse Nursery enough. It’s truly a fantastic place!

We couldn’t be happier with The Rocking Horse Nursery in Finchley. The staff are so warm, caring and genuinely invested in every child’s wellbeing and development. Our little one settled in so quickly thanks to the thoughtful and nurturing team who make every day feel fun, safe and engaging. One of the things that really sets The Rocking Horse apart is the beautiful garden. It’s such a rare find in London to have such a large, green and well-kept outdoor space for the children to explore and play in. The garden is used so creatively — from outdoor learning activities to free play — and it makes such a difference to the children’s experience. The communication with parents is excellent, and it’s clear how much care and thought goes into everything they do. Our child has grown in confidence, independence and happiness since joining. We feel so lucky to have found such a special nursery and couldn’t recommend it more highly!

Rocking Horse Nursery is simply amazing! From the first visit, we loved its warm, home-like atmosphere and knew it was perfect for our son. The set-up is fantastic, the garden is exceptional, and the team are absolute stars, professional, caring, and dedicated. Our 20-month-old loves it so much he never wants to leave! Highly recommended for anyone looking for outstanding childcare.

I was really nervous about signing my son up at this nursery because of a previous negative experience with another one. However, the entire staff and management team have been incredibly helpful and accommodating. I was pleasantly surprised to see how quickly my son settled in - within just two to three weeks, which was much faster than I had anticipated. They maintain excellent communication with parents on a day-to-day basis. The staff are friendly and creative, offering a wide range of engaging activities for the children. Overall, I couldn’t recommend this nursery more highly to anyone looking for a caring and well-run place for their child in the area.

Both my children go to Rocking Horse and we could not recommend it highly enough. Starting with the grounds and location: you would not find a nursery in London with anywhere the same amount of space both indoors and outside. But it’s the staff that make RH truly outstanding. The management team are extremely attentive and hands-on and all the room teachers have been exceptional (we visited another two nurseries and attended one of them and the difference is clear).
