30am to 6pm, all year round. Rated Good by Ofsted in February 2025, it is described as a harmonious nursery where children are exceptionally helpful and polite.

The curriculum places a high priority on fostering positive attitudes towards behaviour and learning, encouraging children to be courageous and resilient when tackling new tasks. The quality of education, particularly in communication and language development, is strong, with staff adapting interactions to meet the individual needs of all children.

This includes those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, who are fully supported to achieve their potential. The nursery also teaches children about the world around them, including sustainability, through activities such as growing vegetables.

Following a recent incident in the outdoor area, leaders took prompt action to strengthen safety measures and refresh staff training, demonstrating their commitment to children's well-being and a culture of continuous improvement. The nursery offers a nurturing environment where children and staff flourish, supported by a dedicated and experienced team.

Outdoor space

Leaders recently notified Ofsted of an accident in the outside area. They took prompt and appropriate action to make changes to the environment and to refresh staff training. The inspector observed the interactions between staff and children, indoors and outside, and evaluated the impact on children's development.

My grandson Charlie finishes today after 3 and a half years here, as a grandparent I was very skeptical about him going to nursery at the age of 1 for 3 days a week from 7.30 till 5.30 how wrong I was, he has excelled I can’t believe how advanced he is in all departments. Well done to all the staff I can’t thankyou all enough for all your care and dedication. Anyone looking for a nursery you might find a good one but you’ll not find a better one

Sunflower Nursery, is the best nursery by far! The staff are caring, friendly and very helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. I just wish they looked after a higher age group so my eldest son could attend as well 👍👍👍👍👍

This is the best place for pre-school kids. The staff are dedicated and friendly, the place is kitted out perfectly to get your child's senses firing and developing their social skills. Never a dull moment for your little ones. The only downside is my daughter never wants to leave!
