How they support every child

SEND provision

Staff support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities to develop their communication skills. For example, they introduce visual cards to help them to communicate their needs.

Outdoor space

Children develop their physical skills. Pre-school children negotiate the steps as they climb to the top of the slide and safely turn around to come down. They balance on giant tyres and ride tricycles and scooters fast around the bicycle track. Younger children enjoy running up and down the field, and babies learn to pull themselves up to standing. Staff carry out regular risk assessments, to ensure that the premises and outdoor area are safe and secure for all children.

Absolutely lovely staff very caring. From the very first day, they made him feel safe, welcome, and happy, and as parents, that means everything to us. Watching his confidence grow, seeing how much he’s learned, and hearing how much fun he has every day reassures us that he’s in the best possible hands.

Both of my children have been to the White House Borrowash, my youngest is currently still there. We have always felt supported and they both have always loved going.

We are so pleased that we made the decision to send our daughter to White House Borrowash. She started in the Baby Room at 6 months old and over a year later, she is now in the toddler room and we haven't once doubted our childcare decision. The baby room handled her settling in sessions with care and sensitivity, ensuring they knew exactly what her routine was as well as her likes and dislikes. She settled quickly because of their dedication. From then on she loved nursery and has never looked back! Transition to the toddler room was seamless, especially as there were staff members who already knew her as well as the staff in baby room making her feel safe and secure. She moved up with one of her little friends and absolutely adores the open and light space in the toddler room, the varied activities, the group time, the outdoor space and the healthy and clearly delicious meals! Whenever she needs medication, or has an accident, staff go over and above to make sure we are well informed. They are so hot on safety and safeguarding. We can't thank everyone enough at nursery. Obviously I recommend! ❤️

I took my baby round a few nurseries in the area, but white house was so different, instantly she was at ease and the staff interacted with us both. I'm a single widowed mum and nursery has gone above and beyond in supporting myself and my daughter through her growing up journey, nearly a year later and she's loving it even more now and I have so much trust in them I get updates all the way through session and can track. If I'm anxious I can call and check. They really do go above and beyond and it feels more like taking her to family. I can't reccomend enough, she is 22 months now and will be staying until school as there really is not any better around.

Myself and my partner viewed multiple nurserys and this was the only one I agreed to. I was anxious returning to work off maternity leave and sending my son to nursery but the staff were great regarding my anxieties. They maintained regular updates throughout the day and sent me photos of what he would get up to. My son is now 2 years old and he thrives here, he loves going to nursery! I believe going here has greatly improved his social and personal development. They provide a range of well balanced meals and are always doing lots of different activties. When I go to collect my son he doesn't want to leave. I have recently had another child and I have no doubts to register her here when the time comes.
