How they support every child

SEND provision

Leaders have high ambitions for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). The provision for children with SEND is a particular strength of this nursery. The special educational needs and disabilities coordinator (SENDCo) implements a range of strategies to support children, for example 'Every Child a Mover' and 'Every Child a Talker'. The SENDCo also supports parents by providing speech and language guidance to use at home. She works with external agencies and makes timely referrals for children who need them.

Outdoor space

Staff in the pre-school room disrupt children's learning as they shout for children to tidy up when it is time to go outside.

Really pleased with my experience so far at the White House nursery Alvaston. The staff are wonderful and really lovely. They really take the time to get to know your little one and it reflects in what my toddler says when they return from nursery. I highly recommend this nursery.

I would like to say a BIG thank you to Jo and Hayley who tried all them best to make Matty to settle in and also a BIG thank you to the girls from toddlers room who looked after him and for all love and care you showed, and also patience! You’ve been our second family!

My daughter has been at White House Nursery Alvaston and they have been amazing. My daughter has transitioned from babies, to toddlers, to pre-school and we have had a positive experience in every room. The staff go above and beyond and I cannot thank them enough for everything they have done and continue to do. My daughter is happy and excited to go to nursery every day and she has built amazing relationships with all of the staff members. I would highly recommend this nursery to everyone.

I have nothing but good things to say about White House Nursery Alvaston. All the team are fantastic and cannot do enough to support the children and families. From the admin/management team to the nursery nurses and support staff. Each member of the team at White House takes the time to get to know the children and parent/family. The facilities the at the Alvaston branch are brilliant with secure outdoor areas, a sensory den along with the baby, toddler and pre school rooms hosting a variety of different areas for the children to enjoy, learn and explore. White House Alvaston is an outstanding nursery.
