Inclusion & environment
Leaders have high ambitions for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). The provision for children with SEND is a particular strength of this nursery. The special educational needs and disabilities coordinator (SENDCo) implements a range of strategies to support children, for example 'Every Child a Mover' and 'Every Child a Talker'. The SENDCo also supports parents by providing speech and language guidance to use at home. She works with external agencies and makes timely referrals for children who need them.
Staff in the pre-school room disrupt children's learning as they shout for children to tidy up when it is time to go outside.
Really pleased with my experience so far at the White House nursery Alvaston. The staff are wonderful and really lovely. They really take the time to get to know your little one and it reflects in what my toddler says when they return from nursery. I highly recommend this nursery.

Read on GoogleI have nothing but good things to say about White House Nursery Alvaston. All the team are fantastic and cannot do enough to support the children and families. From the admin/management team to the nursery nurses and support staff. Each member of the team at White House takes the time to get to know the children and parent/family. The facilities the at the Alvaston branch are brilliant with secure outdoor areas, a sensory den along with the baby, toddler and pre school rooms hosting a variety of different areas for the children to enjoy, learn and explore. White House Alvaston is an outstanding nursery.
