Read on GoogleThink TWICE before sending your child here!!! We visited the nursery and spoke with Sue the nursery manager who showed us around and sat with us in the office and had a long in depth chat. She advised us that a nursery place is available for our child from May 2026. She wrote our child’s name and date of birth down on paper. We walked away reassured that we now have a nursery place. Looking back It was but strange that she didn’t ask us to complete an application form to secure our child’s place. The Nursery should strongly look at this process. Secondly we were not advised at any point in our visit that our child should be 1 before starting. Please advise parents of this on the first show around to avoid confusion. Thirdly I called the nursery a few month later ( visited nursery in December 2025 and called back February 2026). I called to confirm my child’s place and to ask questions about funding. Sue initially suggested that the nursery have taken an emergency admission and she will have to check if our child has a space and she would call back. First of all I would suggest the nursery does not promise a space for a child unless they have one available!! I then called and spoke to Sues daughter Chloe I asked if we still have the space at the nursery. I was first told my child has to be one to start. I advised Chloe that Sue did not inform us of this on the initial visit. Which now means I will have to find child care for a week before my child is one. Not easy when your family live 1.30 mins away. I also advised Chloe that Sue will call back and I was waiting, Chloe advised it is only 13.45 and that Sue would have called but was busy with activities. She then told me that I was disrespecting her mother. I apologised if she felt like that and reassured her that, that was not my intention. She replied by stating we will not give your child a place at this nursery. When I asked what reason she suggested her mother was being disrespected. If Sue had given the right advice at the start and completed a proper admission I would not have to correct her. This is not disrespectful but is advise; one do not promise something you cannot offer and two advise parents of the age you take children! I honestly think the nursery space my child had has been given to someone else and this was just a cover up. This nursery may seem caring but honestly they need to look at how they speak to parents and their processes. They have left me without my childcare and I am due back to work in May 2026. The nursery should not lie, if you do not want to take a child on be honest . I am thankful my child is not going here as I cannot imagine what the nursery could have done if there was conflict in the future! Please think twice parents! This nursery has been reported to Ofsted who assure me they will look into the above matter and nursery policies.
