Verbatim quotes recorded in the Ofsted inspection
Parents comment positively on the nursery, particularly the relationships that their children have with warm and caring staff.
They note the progress that their children have made with their confidence and social skills.
Parents share that the changes in staffing have been well managed but have had some impact. For example, some parents do not know who their child's key person currently is and this impacts on the feedback that they are getting about their child's learning and development.
Inclusion & environment
Most staff know their key children well and can discuss their progress and next steps in learning with confidence. This includes children with special educational needs and/or disabilities as staff dedicate time each day to working towards their individual targets. Leaders employ additional staff during core hours to enable key persons to spend more-focused time with children. As such, all children make good progress from their individual starting points.
Children also have frequent access to the nursery gardens, where they engage in active and physical play. This supports children's gross motor development and encourages healthy habits from a young age.
Eagerly anticipating the opening of this nursery. Checked the place out during one of their open days and my Son loves both the setting and the staff. The space is very open and light, with lots of learning apparatus and role play areas for kids to learn through play. The outside area with the musical wall had my little one entertained for ages. Then he noticed the sand pits! Have been back in to see when they are opening, and there were tears when we were leaving because he was just having so much fun. I hear they are currently waiting on clearance from OFSTED, but once they have, this is going to be a massive addition to the wood Street area.
Read on GoogleI couldn't be happier with our experience at Tiny champs so far! The staff are all so lovely; they all know my son's name (not just the ones in his room!) and greet us with a big smile when we arrive. They all seem to really care about the children and their job and the ethos of the nursery shines through in everything they do. The nursery is welly well equipped, both inside and in the gardens and it feels really homely which I love. The team always have fun, engaging activities set up and send regular updates to us via the app. I was nervous about going back to my work and sending my son to nursery at 8 months old, but as soon as we attended our first settling in session my mind was put completely at ease. The team look after my son as I would do at home which is so reassuring. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Tiny Champs and I feel so lucky that my son has a place here.
Read on GoogleSuper happy with Tiny Champs. My daughter goes there currently and my youngest will also start soon. The nursery is extremely clean, offers lots of fun and inclusive activities and has a beautiful outdoor space. The staff are kind, caring and attentive and I always feel at ease leaving my daughter there. In terms of communication, the app is brilliant with photos and updates throughout the day and the monthly newsletter is also great.
Read on GoogleI would highly recommend Tiny Champs nursery. My son has been attending for over two years now and he has thrived in many ways with the support of his class key worker/teachers who prepare age appropriate stimulating activities provided to support his interests and development. The nursery team are very efficient from the owners down to management and staff and they are always very kind and welcoming. It’s clear that my son is very happy and comfortable in this setting. The daily updates they provide are informative, lovely pictures are provided throughout the day of my child and the meals seem to be quite filling! They have a great outdoor garden for the children to play , great resources are provided and to top it off, they’re in a great location!
Read on GoogleI really recommend Tiny Champs to anyone looking for a nursery for their little one. My little one has been at the nursery since it opened and is now heading off to school in September. The team at Tiny Champs have supported us as a family to help our little girl grow into the confident and clever little girl we have. The team are all incredibly approachable and during our time at Tiny Champs they have made us feel like part of the family.
