Tiny Tigers Pre-School, located in Hartley, provides a nurturing and engaging learning environment for children aged 2 to 5 years. Established in 2003, the pre-school initially operated in a small home setting before expanding and relocating to Southfleet village hall in 2007.
After 12 successful years there, during which they achieved three "Good" Ofsted ratings and an "Outstanding" in April 2018, Tiny Tigers moved to its current permanent home within Our Lady of Hartley primary school in January 2020. This new location offers a spacious classroom, direct access to outdoor facilities, and a forest school area, enriching the children's learning experiences.
The pre-school prides itself on a high staff-to-child ratio, ensuring each child receives individual care and attention. Every child is assigned a key person responsible for their holistic development, helping them build on existing knowledge and make significant progress.
Tiny Tigers operates 38 weeks a year, with an optional summer club, offering sessional day care from Monday to Friday.

Inclusion & environment
Children support their friends with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) by kindly reminding them of rules using visual picture cards. Staff help all children, including those with SEND, to make outstanding progress. Staff have recently learned about different ways to support children with SEND to understand behavioural expectations.
Children have outstanding opportunities to challenge their physical skills and learn about extensive ways they can move their bodies, including routines of choreographed dances and yoga sessions. They confidently identify stinging nettles to avoid in their woodland area.
