The management and staff are commended for implementing a clear and ambitious curriculum. Children confidently enter the nursery and happily engage with the enticing environments created for them.
For babies, staff provide numerous sensory experiences to develop their physical and communication skills, building nurturing relationships with sensitive interactions. As children progress through the nursery, this nurturing approach continues, with staff tailoring activities to children's interests, such as exploring toy insects in ice cubes or creating prints with dough.
Older toddlers further develop their vocabulary and physical skills through activities like drawing on paper plates and playing matching games. Pre-school children engage in imaginative play, recreating body outlines outside and discussing what they have learned about their bodies.
The nursery effectively supports children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND), working closely with parents, professional services, and local authority advisers. Individual educational plans are routinely implemented and kept up to date by the special educational needs coordinator, ensuring children thrive and succeed.
The nursery also places a strong emphasis on children's emotional development, with sessions like yoga and mindfulness helping them to express emotions and build communication skills. Parents appreciate the increased information sharing from the nursery, which helps them support their children's learning at home.
