Inclusion & environment
Staff use assessment well to identify if a child might be at risk of falling behind in their development and take action to help close any gaps. For example, they make referrals to external agencies when required.
Children develop their physical skills, inside and outside. Older children create a path using balance boards and stepping stones, developing their core muscles as they carefully make their way along them. Younger children squeeze play dough with their hands and use tools to cut it, developing their hand-to-eye coordination. Children develop their physical skills during forest school visits.
My little one has settled in really well here and made great progress since starting. You can tell that all the staff are lovley and caring and show genuine interest in looking after the children. The fireworks night they put on for the kiddies was lovley and they had a wonderful time!
Read on GoogleIt’s only been a month but my 3yr old has settled well into the preschool and the staff in that room have been so great and always get a good handover on pick up.

Read on GoogleSo when my child started at tops we was told they would meet his needs and at first they did his key worker was awesome! She was special interested in working with special needs children so her enthusiastic and understanding out weighed all other members of staff.. My problems only started to arise when new management took over.. They had lost all paper work that was essential in applying for extra funding for 1'1 support that my child desperately needed.. I ended up filling in same paper once again!! Only to be told few months later that the couldn't have my child at setting anymore.. if the original paper work got sent off my child would of had the 1-1 in place but instead they excluded him! I lost my job due to this devastating act! Had to pull my buisness out! I'm single mother who relied on child care my child was then out of early education for 8 months before starting school! My child is special needs and luckily he now has 1-1 at his school.. I don't understand why with tops being such a massive franchise why they was not equipped to make sure every child needs being met! There needs to be more training for staff to deal with high functioning autistic children. One main reason my child got excluded was 2 members of staff was expecting and they didn't feel safe!..my child was 3!!..
