Tree Tops Montessori Nursery, established in 1991 by Montessori educators Sue Butler and Linda Hodierne, expanded in 2005 to offer full day care for children aged three months to five years. The nursery focuses on providing a nurturing and stimulating Montessori environment, designed to foster a child's inherent love for learning and discovery.
Emphasising a balanced introduction to knowledge, it aims to build a strong foundation for future development rather than overwhelming children with excessive choices. The nursery prioritises a safe and secure learning space for all children.
Their objective is to help each child reach their full learning potential, cultivating well-rounded, independent, and self-assured individuals who feel comfortable and happy in various situations. The nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and provides an extensive array of Montessori learning materials.
It maintains a high staff-to-child ratio and employs qualified, experienced Montessori teachers, with dedicated key workers supporting each child. Nutritious, healthy meals are prepared on-site by a qualified cook, and the nursery holds a 5-star food hygiene rating.
Some staff members have been with Tree Tops since its inception, ensuring consistent care for both children and their families.

Inclusion & environment

Staff use their assessments to identify gaps in children's learning, liaise with managers to provide support, and seek support from other professionals in a timely manner. This helps all children make good progress in their learning.
