Unicorn Nursery Maesbury is a vibrant childcare facility dedicated to fostering early childhood development through a unique blend of care and innovative educational approaches. They differentiate themselves through the adoption of the 'Curiosity Approach,' which emphasises a play-based, child-led learning environment.
This philosophy replaces traditional plastic toys with natural materials and real-life objects, encouraging children to use their imagination and develop critical thinking skills. The nursery's setting has been transformed with neutral, calming colours to create a 'home from home' atmosphere.
Unicorn Nursery also proudly offers a Forest School programme, allowing children to explore nature, engage in outdoor activities, and learn about the environment in their well-appointed outdoor spaces. Their dedication to a holistic approach extends to providing diverse learning opportunities while preparing older children for the transition to school.
Unicorn Nursery operates Monday to Friday, from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, catering to various age groups from babies as young as six weeks up to pre-schoolers.
Our ethos
We believe a high quality Early Years experience provides a firm foundation on which to build future academic, social and emotional success. We provide a caring, safe, and happy environment to help your child feel secure and confident. All the children in our care are encouraged to learn, play and socialise with others and then flourish through their own individual strengths. We work with each child to help fulfil their potential, at their own pace. The Curiosity Approach allows children to direct their own learning by 'igniting their natural curiosity and imagination.'

Inclusion & environment
Leaders work well in partnership with other professionals and routinely attend meetings to gather and share key information about the children. This information is used to put in place effective plans, ensuring that children with special educational needs and/or disabilities receive the specialist help they require.
Children thoroughly enjoy themselves in the purpose-built outside areas. Staff provide children with wet suits and wellington boots so they can still explore and play outside in wet weather. Children enjoy searching for different insects and bugs and confidently describe them, with staff engaging in discussions to build on their knowledge.
Wonderful Nursery with great staff and lots of educational learning and outdoor play. My child loves going.
