About this day nursery

Water's Edge Nursery, established in September 2001 by Joanne Wood, a qualified Nursery Practitioner with over two decades of childcare experience, has consistently provided exceptional care. Joined by Carl and Kelly Heavyside, the managing team led the day nursery to achieve an Ofsted Outstanding rating in both 2011 and 2017.

Carl and Kelly, now directors, are both qualified Early Years Teachers with BA degrees in Early Years Care and Education, contributing significantly to the day nursery's expertise. In 2014, the nursery became Water's Edge Nursery Ltd and underwent extensive redevelopment in 2016, embracing a modern design while prioritising children's safety and security.

The facility aims to offer a secure and stimulating environment where children can thrive and families feel confident in their child's happiness and contentment away from home. The nursery operates an open-door policy, inviting prospective families to visit, meet the staff, and discuss their needs.
