Inclusion & environment
The manager liaises with parents effectively and makes referrals in a timely manner to ensure children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) receive the support they need. Children with SEND display positive attitudes towards their learning, enjoying books and stories. The manager has attended a Makaton course to provide further support for children with speech and language delays, aiming to help staff better support children in communicating their wants and needs.
Our son started nursery in February and we are very happy with it. The settling in was great and the staff really took the time to make sure he was happy and comfortable. He is now thriving and spends really good days there. They do many indoor and outdoor activities and every day is different. It’s great to see him developing and growing in such a lovely environment!

My son has been at Well Place since he was 10 months old. He is now 3.5 years old and continues to thrive there. I absolutely love the focus on outdoor play/forest school (as much as our weather allows)! The staff are so warm and helpful. I actually travel over 1 hour a day just to send him there as it is such a special place and he is deeply happy there.

Our daughter started at the Well Place after her previous nursery had to shut down. I honestly wish that we had known about this place before because it is in stark contrast to the previous nursery which was located in a village hall. A beautiful setting, in the middle of the countryside with plenty of outdoor space for the children to play in. There are often walks in the countryside which my daughter loves. I am always surprised at what she has learned when she comes home and she always talks fondly of her classmates and leaders (yes even for a 4 year old!). I know she will be sad when she leaves in September but we will not hesitate to put her sister into Well place when the time comes. 10/10 would recommend

A true gem of a nursery set in an idyllic position on the Penshurst place estate. My daughter has been the whole way through and still says her preschool days were ‘the best days ever’ and my son has now also started in the early years. We didn’t consider sending him anywhere else as the true caring, kind and friendly environment, along with the amazing setting has made our time here feel like an extended part of the family. I am already having to brace myself for when our time with them comes to an end - I won’t be ready!!

Wellplace nursery is a very special place with kind and attentive staff and set in a beautiful location. My son has been attending the nursery since 11 months old and really enjoys his time there - especially the outdoor adventures! I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nursery for their little ones.
