Bright Horizons operates numerous nurseries and preschools across the UK, offering comprehensive childcare solutions for families. With a strong emphasis on early development and emotional well-being, the organisation champions 'The Nurture Approach', an integrated framework that nurtures children's growth from infancy through to preschool.
This approach is designed to foster a healthy, happy, and intellectually stimulating environment where children can achieve their full potential. Bright Horizons focuses on creating secure attachments for children through a dedicated 'Key Person' system, ensuring that each child feels known, safe, and cherished.
The organisation provides a diverse curriculum, 'Bright Beginnings', which covers five key learning areas and integrates practical life skills into daily activities. They are also committed to providing nutritious meals, outdoor exploration opportunities including Forest School programmes, and comprehensive SEND provision.
Bright Horizons aims to ease the work-life balance for parents, offering support with childcare funding options and flexible settling-in sessions for new children.
Our ethos

Inclusion & environment
The special educational needs coordinator works closely with staff, parents and other professionals to help support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. Staff make exceptional use of picture cards to help support children to communicate their needs and wants.
Outside play is a high priority at the pre-school. Staff understand the importance of providing children with space to take managed risks in their play, encouraging them to ride bicycles and balance on beams. Children negotiate their way around objects, developing an awareness of their bodies and space, and enjoy playing games, such as hiding and finding pictures of elephants in the garden.
Woodlands Preschool is an amazing environment. The facilities and activities provided are excellent and the team take exceptional care of the children. Thank you so much for all your support, kindness and genuine care of our two children.
Read on GoogleMy son attended Woodlands for nearly a year. Every day we attended he was nothing but excited and happy to go, and upset and cross to be leaving. He built up strong relationships with his Key Person and still talks very fondly of the Preschool now.I can not recommend this Preschool enough, it has prepared my son for school better than I could have hoped. He is excited to learn more and ask questions which I believe to be down to Woodlands.
