The Wendy House Day Nursery, founded by Victoria Vann, is dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for children. Victoria's extensive experience as a nursery nurse from the age of 16 underpins the nursery's philosophy, focusing on creating a vibrant space where children can flourish.

The nursery is passionate about early years education and is committed to continuous improvement, ensuring that children engage in a variety of activities beyond the standard curriculum to inspire and motivate their learning. With two convenient locations in Wythall and Lickey, both easily accessible from major commuting routes, The Wendy House offers flexible drop-off and pick-up options.

The nurseries operate five days a week, from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, observing closures only for UK Bank Holidays, one week at Christmas, and one week in the summer leading up to the August Bank Holiday. The Wendy House prides itself on fostering a safe and inclusive atmosphere for all children, striving to add a touch of magic to their daily experiences.

Inclusion & environment

How they support every child

SEND provision

Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) are supported well. There is extensive support for parents with children with SEND. The manager attends online training with parents to enable everyone to consistently support children's individual developmental needs.

Outdoor space

Older children spend a short time outside. They develop physical skills as they run, jump, climb and balance. However, the outside area is not utilised effectively to enable all children to access fresh air and outdoor play on a daily basis.

I am grateful for this nursery. My son has attended Wendy House since he was 9months old and now ready to start reception. Staff are very supportive , friendly and caring. I can’t recommend this nursery enough! Thank you for supporting my child to grow and learn.

My daughter goes to this nursery and she absolutely loves every bit of her time there. My daughter cries coming back home. The staff are angels, they handle the kids so amazingly and are all fully qualified and trained as well as having a heart of gold. I love this nursery because my child loves it.

Fantastic nursery!! Very friendly staff, who are incredibly attentive to our son's needs. Always happy to have a conversation through the day, and feels like a home from home for our boy, which helped him settle in extremely quickly
