Wheelock Pre-School is a small, charity-run establishment nestled in the heart of Wheelock village, catering to children from two years old up until they transition to primary school. With a strong commitment to learning and development, the pre-school operates during term time, offering both morning and afternoon sessions, alongside a daily lunch club.
They prioritise a rich and stimulating environment, adhering to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and the Development Matters curriculum guidance. The pre-school boasts a dedicated team of long-serving and qualified staff, all of whom are paediatric first aid trained.
Each child is assigned a key worker to ensure personalised attention, aid in their settlement, facilitate their engagement in activities, and track their progress through various learning areas. As a charity governed by a voluntary parents' committee, parents play a significant role in decision-making, ensuring the pre-school remains responsive to the community's needs.
Wheelock Pre-School is Ofsted inspected and committed to providing a happy and rewarding experience for every child.
