What it's like
Children in the pre-school room are supported by staff to take and manage controlled risks in their play, for example with fire-starting outdoors. In the baby room, children form close attachments with staff and develop core strength, while toddlers develop small-muscle skills by copying staff using tweezers to pick up spaghetti. Children express pride in their achievements.

Parents and carers comment positively about the nursery. They appreciate the support they receive from staff to put plans in place to help children with SEND in preparation for when they move on to school.
Inclusion & environment
Additional funding for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND) is used effectively. The manager uses the money to enhance adult to child ratios and to provide one-to-one support for children, enabling staff to provide small-group times and focused support to meet children's individual needs.
Children have plenty of opportunities to play outdoors in the nursery's spacious outdoor area. Staff help them to plant and grow vegetables in the nursery orchard and children in the pre-school room join staff for forest sessions to explore and investigate nature.
Lovely, friendly and quality nursery. We use the school holiday clubs and little one absolutely loves it here. Totally recommend.
