Referrals to other professionals are made in a timely manner and their involvement supports staff to identify specific targets to meet children's needs. This includes staff using pictures to help children with SEND to understand and follow routines in the day.

Our children have been attending the nursery since 2023, and it has truly been such a special part of our family’s journey. Our eldest has now moved on, and our youngest is currently in the preschool room, but throughout this time the nursery has played such an important role in their early years. Watching them grow in confidence, independence and happiness has been incredibly reassuring as a parent. What makes the White House so special is the people. Over the past two years I’ve had the pleasure of building genuine relationships with so many of the staff, which has made such a difference as a parent. A special thank you to Lisa, both Hannah’s, Brandon and Zara, who I’ve spoken with consistently and who have always been so warm, approachable and supportive. It never feels like just a drop-off and pick-up — they truly take the time to connect with both the children and their families. The entire team deserves recognition, especially the preschool staff where our youngest is currently. The care, patience and enthusiasm they show every day creates such a nurturing, positive environment for the children to learn and grow. It’s clear that every member of staff genuinely cares about the children and takes pride in the role they play in shaping these important early years. As a parent, there’s nothing more comforting than knowing your children are somewhere they feel safe, happy and valued. We are so grateful for everything the nursery and its amazing staff have done for our family, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to other parents.

An amazing nursery, supportive and friendly. The pre school team genuinely care about the children and how they’re progressing. They always have a smile on their faces!! The nursery have been very supportive in our own family situation, adding in extra precautions. Thank you Team Alfreton!

Our daughter has settled in really well there and loves her time in the baby room. The staff are all friendly and they do a range of different activities with the children. They keep us updated on the app with photos, notices and messages when needed.
