Inclusion & environment
Children with special educational needs and/or disabilities are supported well by staff. They have targeted plans in place to meet their individual needs. Staff liaise with school teachers to share detailed information about children's individual needs before they start school to provide consistency in care and learning.
The report mentions that children in the pre-school room help staff to plant and grow vegetables in the garden, learning how food grows. Staff supervise children when they move from outdoors to indoors.
What a wonderful environment for growing children!! My boy has been there since 11 months old (now 4). He had moderate hearing loss (which the nursery actually pointed out to me - a first time mother just thinking my baby boy was being ignorant and selective 🙈) up until last December when he had corrective surgery. Both before and after, they have given him so much care and consideration. 1-1s to help him develop his hearing skills and his speech. They have worked so closely with other clinical professionals to get him ready for school this September. And even without the hearing troubles, he has learned so much and had fun doing it. Every week is filled with themed activities! He has made loads of friends to share in these activities with. The nutrition is amazing! So healthy and tasty. He eats so much now thanks the whitick day nursery. I had trouble finding a suitable nursery and actually branched a little further than my locals to find whitick and I'm so glad I did! They have been incredible every single step of the way!
Read on GoogleI've had both boys at Whitwick Day Nursery 1, currently in the nursery and thriving. I couldn't be more happier with the care given. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I get regular updates on how my son is doing. All smiles, taking him to nursery and picking him up. Thank you to all the staff!
Read on GoogleOur two boys joined this nursery in April 21, our eldest son being 3 and youngest 1. The staff made the transition to their new nursery so easy, the boys instantly fell in love with the staff and their new environments! Every care was taken to ensure they settled well and were truly happy, we were so relieved. The team have always gone above and beyond in both care and education and you can see the boys are thriving from their time here. I couldn’t recommend them enough.
