About this day nursery

Windmill Children's Centre Daycare, established in 2015, provides all-year-round childcare for children aged 0-4 years, operating Monday to Friday from 8 am to 6 pm. The day nursery received a 'Good' rating in its latest Ofsted inspection on May 24, 2022.

The dedicated staff prioritise the well-being of the children, fostering a kind and happy environment. Managers effectively assess children's needs upon entry, and the curriculum focuses on ambitious goals, with notable progress observed in physical development and mathematics.

Children also benefit from continuous access to both indoor and outdoor learning environments. The day nursery's approach to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) involves swift identification of children requiring extra support and close collaboration with external professionals, such as speech and language therapists.

While transition arrangements between rooms, especially for children with SEND, are an area for further consideration, the staff's passion and nurturing approach ensure a supportive foundation for all children's learning and development, preparing them well for future education.
